Although they could be near frozen, as tonight is colder than even predicted.
We have used this recipe for 40 years. Delicious even on a cold winter night!
Strawberry Shortcake
sift 2 cups flour, 3tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt
cut in 1/4 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup crisco shortening
combine 1 beaten egg, 2/3 cup milk
stir dry and wet just until blended
Bake at 425 for 10 minutes

Can't wait to try. My family loves Strawberry Shortcake but I have always used the Bisquick recipe. I love to cook and have started a cooking blog.
